Caroline graduated from UNC in 2009 and from Harvard Law School in 2013. Between college and law school, she worked for the Women’s Legal Centre in Cape Town, South Africa, and then for Freedom House in Washington, DC.

Caroline clerked for a federal judge, the Honorable Thomas D. Schroeder, in North Carolina from 2013 to 2014. She handled cases on voting rights, habeas/prisoner rights, racial discrimination in law enforcement, and more. Since 2014, she has been prosecuting domestic violence at the Queens County (NY) District Attorney’s Office, which leads the country in innovative domestic violence prosecution. In Queens, Caroline indicted and tried domestic violence felonies, including attempted murders, assaults, burglaries, and firearm possession, often without the cooperation of the domestic violence victim.

Caroline will be moving to Seattle at the end of the month, and will be joining the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office out there.
